Partner in BLG’s Construction Group and International Construction Projects Focus Group. His practice focuses on large-scale construction disputes, principally arising out of industrial, commercial and infrastructure projects. He acts as counsel in litigation and domestic and international arbitrations, and is an experienced mediator and arbitrator. Commenced articles with Howard Mackie in 1981, before getting called to the Bar in Alberta in 1982. Joined the partnership in 1988. When Howard Mackie joined with four other regional firms in 2000 to create Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG), he entered the partnership of the national firm. Served in a number of firm management roles, including National Construction Head, and subsequently, National Litigation Head. Jeff was called to the Alberta Bar in 1982, Manitoba Bar in 2015 and Saskatchewan Bar in 2016. Named Queen’s Counsel (now King’s Counsel) in 2002.
