Career
Ana Maria is Partner of Lloreda Camacho & Co., since 2009 and has broad experience in handling and advising on large patent portfolios for various multinational companies in diverse areas of technology. She has also ample experience in handling high-profile cases before the Colombian high courts, as well as patent infringement actions.
Her main areas of practice are patents, industrial design, plant varieties and patent litigation. She handles and has deep experience in regulatory matters and counselling in connection with biosimilars and biotechnological products.
Before joining the firm, Ana Maria worked in the Division of Distinctive Signs of the Superintendence of Industry and Trade (the national IP authority in Colombia).

She is member of the Colombian Association of Intellectual Property (ACPI) and was invited as speaker at a conference organized by CEDIQUIFA at Universidad Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru, regarding biotechnology regulation in Colombia, and at a conference organized by the AHK (German Chamber of Commerce) regarding patent protection in Colombia. Ana Maria was also invited by BIO to form part of the academic committee of biotechnology matters in Latinamerica.

Ana María has a degree in law from Universidad del Rosario, specialization degrees in Commercial Law from Universidad Javeriana and in Law and New Life Technologies from Universidad Externado, and also certificates in Administrative Procedural Law and Unfair Competition.
