Ingrid Gubbay is a skilled litigator and campaign lawyer with 25 years’ experience and is a driving force behind Hausfeld’s Climate Impact Hub and the lead up to COP26 where she was a speaker at several events.

A highlight of 2021 was her recognition by the Financial Times as ‘one of five trailblazing sustainability leaders’. Their Innovative Lawyers Awards 2021 shortlisted Ingrid for the ‘Sustainable Lawyer’ award because of her substantive work on climate change litigation and for championing the role of lawyers in tackling global warming.

A 2022 highlight was her appointment as a Visiting Research Fellow at BIICL. She now is a member of their climate change and environment expert group in recognition of her contribution to BIICL’s work in this area.

She conducts strategic public/private law litigation, both domestically and internationally, on behalf of communities affected by large scale corporate violations, she initiated the first climate UN Convention of the Rights of the Child complaint which was filed before that Committee and was one of the foundation of members of the Global Climate Litigation network, and is currently instructed by global NGO’s with respect to climate challenges,

Ingrid chairs the Board of Legal Action Network (LAW) which works to bring legal accountability for women living in conflict zones, and a frequent commentator on legal innovations in the field of Business and Human rights.
