Simon Bishop, Partner at Hausfeld London, specialises in commercial litigation with a particular focus on financial services and markets. Simon has advised on substantial claims relating to interest rate derivatives, securities issuances and trading, bank support units, financial benchmark manipulation, banking fraud, shareholder claims, and general commercial matters. Simon also advises on disputes relating to the environment, climate change, and other ESG issues, in both commercial and administrative law contexts.

He has extensive experience of cases involving third-party funding and is familiar with alternative dispute resolution, particularly mediation and arbitration (under various rules). His clients include institutional asset managers, publicly listed companies, small and medium-sized enterprises, firms of solicitors, insolvency office holders, members of parliament, NGOs, and lobbying groups.

Previously, Simon worked in derivatives and structured products for some of the world’s most prominent financial services institutions.
