James has broad experience across banking and finance, corporate and regulatory matters. James’ expertise includes fund finance, regulatory licensing and general corporate advice. James is a member of Ogier’s Latin America group and regularly advises clients in or with exposure to the region across a wide range of issues. James’ clients include financial institutions, sponsors and corporates.

James specialises in banking and finance and has experience in a broad range of areas including fund finance, real estate finance and acquisition finance. James also regularly advises on regulatory matters, including licence applications, and a broad range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions.

James is part of Ogier’s multi-disciplinary Restructuring and Corporate Recovery team. James specialises in refinancing and corporate restructuring and reorganisation. James has worked on a wide range of refinancings and restructurings, often with short turnaround times and cross-border considerations

Education

James received his LL.B in Law and Management Studies from the University of Leeds in 2007 and his Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law in 2009.
