Anne is also a formidable litigator, often dealing with complex financial matters for high-net-worth clients to ensure full disclosure and achieve the best financial settlement possible for her clients.

Career

Anne trained at Paris Smith and Randall, a large regional practice based in Southampton. After moving to Sherwin Oliver Solicitors, she became a Partner in the Family Law department.

Anne moved to north Hampshire to manage the Family Law department at Pinto Potts in Fleet, which she did for over ten years. After working at Pitmans in Reading as an Associate Solicitor, in 2008 she invited Rita Gupta to jointly set up the practice of LGFL LLP (now LGFL Ltd).

Anne and Rita have built LGFL Ltd into a leading boutique law firm through their Director-led approach to family law and their forward-thinking empathetic and pragmatic service.

A long-standing member of Resolution, Anne is also a Resolution trained Mediator. Anne is a member of the Law Society’s Family Law panel and a Resolution trained collaborative lawyer. She is active in two local Collaborative Law PODS. She has also had great success in resolving separation issues outside of court through the hybrid mediation process.

Anne’s clear communication style has been seen by hundreds of people through her videos on the LGFL YouTube channel as well as discussing family law issues on national media including Times Radio.

Anne has been a Recommended Lawyer in the Legal 500 UK since the 2020 edition.

Anne Leiper attended the Headington School for Girls in Oxford before reading law at Southampton University. She then completed her professional training at the College of Law in Guildford.
