Career

Pui Yee is the Head of the Firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions Department. Her practice focus is on take-overs, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, foreign investment and corporate and commercial transactions. She has been involved in transactions across a wide range of industries including financial services, energy and power, manufacturing, retail and consumer, hospitality and plantations.

Pui Yee is recognised as Highly Regarded in M&A by IFLR1000. She is also consistently recognised as a Leading Individual in Corporate/M&A by Chambers Global/Asia-Pacific and was described as “a very good lawyer who really knows her stuff”. In The Legal 500 Asia Pacific, Pui Yee was recognised as a Leading Individual in Corporate and M&A and noted to be “competent and knowledgeable”.

Prior to joining Rahmat Lim & Partners, Pui Yee was a partner in the Corporate & Financial Services practice at another Malaysian law firm for more than 13 years.

Pui Yee graduated in Economics (with a major in Accounting) in 1988 and in Law in 1990, from Monash University, Australia. She was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 1992.
