Jennifer is a partner in the family law team and is based in the Dundee office. She is accredited as a specialist in Family Law and Family Mediation by the Law Society of Scotland and is also a fully trained collaborative lawyer. Jennifer has a wide range of experience which includes providing advice and representation for divorce settlements, separation agreements, cohabitation cases and disputes involving children. Jennifer sits on the committee of the Family Law Association, the professional organisation for family lawyers in Scotland and is also lead tutor in family law for the Diploma in Legal Practice at the University of Dundee.


After qualifying Jennifer spent her early career working in Glasgow and Lanarkshire. From 2006 to 2010 she was a partner in Smail & Ewart solicitors, Lanark. Due to family circumstances she relocated to Fife in 2010 and joined Blackadders, Dundee as an associate in the family team. She became a partner in Blackadders in 2012.
