In May 2018 Ellie was appointed as joint Managing Partner at Wilkes and took on the role solely in May 2020. She also leads our Solihull Private Client Team.

Ellie has extensive experience across the range of inheritance tax related issues faced by private individuals and can assist with both lifetime planning and post-death solutions.

As well as drafting wills and advising clients to mitigate inheritance tax, Ellie has a particular focus on estate planning for high net worth individuals and works alongside our Corporate team in assisting owner managed businesses with inter-generational planning. She provides pragmatic solutions allowing clients to maximise the assets they pass to their families.

In addition Ellie administers trusts and estates and she has experience in dealing with high-value estates for clients across the Midlands and further afield. She assists clients with all of their trust related requirements, from the initial drafting of trust documentation through to administering the trust in full.

Her clients include those wishing to put in place Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Deeds of Variation and Declarations of Trust.

Ellie is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) which is regarded as the industry gold standard for leading private client lawyers.
