The Wilkes Partnership has particular expertise in the resolution of contentious probate disputes. Some of the recent disputes it has worked on have been litigated in the Chancery Division of the High Court. Typical types of cases it has dealt with recently include bringing and defending an application for reasonable provision under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975. Other claims include acting in cases against personal representatives for their removal or substitution. Kevin Lynch is the key lawyer and is a full member of ACTAPS. Based out of its offices in Birmingham and Solihull The Wilkes Partnership advises clients across the West Midlands and further afield. Andrew Hasnip has an established reputation for his work on trusts, complex inheritance tax planning and estate work. Ellie Holland leads the Solihull team and has a similar focus on succession planning for business owners. Ann-Marie Aston heads the Court of Protection offering and frequently acts as a  professional deputy and attorney. The team advises on all areas of wills and estate administration as well as trust creation and administration, with a particular strength in community care work. The Birmingham-based contested probate and litigation teams also carry out NHS continuing healthcare appeals. Consultant Philip Harrison joined the team from another firm.
