Eyal’s practice concentrates in competition law, technology, media and telecommunications law, intellectual property law and privacy law. He regularly advises long-standing clients which include a leading international software company, a large Israeli telecom operator and energy companies. Eyal has also participated in the defence of complex class actions related to abuse of dominance, price fixing, resale price maintenance, monopolisation, predatory pricing, refusal to deal, intellectual property/antitrust issues and technological and other tying. He regularly advises foreign companies on Israel law, and, speaking both English and Hebrew fluently, is experienced in simultaneously handling cases in both languages. He was the only private practitioner to have been commended by a parliamentary committee which modernised Israel’s copyright law for his contribution to the hearings, and is a leading adviser on music licensing. He is recommended in The Legal 500: Europe, Middle East & Africa 2013’s editorial in both competition and intellectual property, where his expertise is described as “second to none”. He is also recognised by the 2013 edition of Legal Experts EMEA in the areas of competition, IT and telecoms, and intellectual property. He speaks and writes regularly on antitrust, privacy and data protection, encryption and trade controls, and intellectual property. Eyal contributed to the chapter on Israel of the The American Bar Association’s “Antitrust Issues in Intellectual Property Licensing Transactions.”
