Bert Luyten is co-founder of Laurius. With more than 25 years’ experience, he provides legal support to companies and investors in complex contractual, company and financial disputes. Belgian case or international top dossier: Bert goes beyond expectations and is a specialist in dispute resolution and litigation before courts and arbitral tribunals.

Together with Dirk Wellens, Bert created Laurius as a reference firm in the field of corporate law, M&A, private equity, real estate and corporate and financial litigation. His client-oriented focus and constant search for excellence set the office standards exceedingly high. Bert translates his years of experience and know-how into complete, concrete conclusions. Career

Since his start at the Antwerp Bar in 1996, Bert has guided companies, shareholders and directors through disputes in various sectors such as banking and energy, IT, construction and industry. In cases concerning shareholder disputes, complex financial liability and fraud, Bert is internationally acknowledged for his extensive know-how and decisive approach to the case. He founded Laurius in 2006 together with Dirk Wellens.

Bert holds a master’s degree in Law (Antwerp) and a DES in Economic Law (ULB). He has done a special course in Energy Law (IMER) and is a member of CEPANI, the Belgian arbitration body.
