Career

Mathias Chichportich has a transversal expertise in Criminal Law, Media Law and Civil Liberties. He has been a member of the Paris Bar since 2011, when he joined FTMS.

In 2014, he was elected “Secrétaire de la Conférence” and got involved in the most sensitive and complex criminal cases. Alongside Bâtonnier Pierre-Olivier Sur, he has been handling numerous political and financial cases as well as criminal cases with high media coverage. On this occasion, Mathias Chichportich has developed a complementary expertise in the Media sector and specialised in the protection of companies and individuals’ reputation and image.

Mathias Chichportich regularly appears before specialised courts in cases involving defamation and violation of privacy and presumption of innocence, where he represents both press organs and defendants. Thanks to these multidisciplinary skills, Mathias Chichportich brings to his clients – CEOs and companies – answers to more and more complex challenges.

He teaches Criminal Procedure and Crisis Communication to students of the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas involved in the Data Officer and Compliance Officer programmes.
