Bilge Derinbay is a partner at NSN Law Firm and has over 20 years of experience where she provides dispute resolution and transactional consultancy to local and international clients in Commercial and Corporate Law, Life Sciences Law, Copyright, Advertising, Media and Entertainment Law, and Personal Data Protection Law.
Ms. Derinbay’s practice includes M&As, project finance, privatizations, concession agreements, public and private offerings of major multinational and Turkish companies, establishment and liquidation of companies, preparation of major form agreements, and supervising due diligence projects. She is exceptionally skilled at drafting and negotiating various types of agreements involving the day-to-day business operations of pharmaceutical companies.
Bilge also provides the highest quality consultancy services in the media and entertainment sector, from drafting copyright contracts to assisting in litigation filed for copyright infringement. She also supports her clients in managing concert recordings and entertainment materials. Recently, she achieved a major achievement in a copyright infringement case by convincing the court to recognize the license fee on a musical note not inserted as a work of art in Turkish Copyright Law.
As one of the leading attorneys in her country, she additionally possesses expertise in the field of TMT. She represents clients in numerous contracts and provides consultancy services to companies and projects worldwide in this field. She has vast experience and knowledge in areas such as television auctions and sports media. Also, she frequently speaks at domestic and international conferences on the topics of popular developments in TMT and digital advertising.
Ms. Derinbay also advises clients on compliance requirements and product liability matters. She represents her clients before relevant governmental authorities and is involved in litigation for challenging administrative sanctions applied against her clients. She also has expertise in customs-related disputes with the Turkish Customs Authorities, where she assists clients with anti-dumping investigations initiated by the Turkish Ministry of Commerce.
