The full-service tax practice at Binder Grösswang has recently gained traction for its tax litigation and private client services. Andreas Hable is the name to note for the latter area; he advises high-net-worth individuals on in- and outbound tax matters. Hable jointly heads the team with Christian Wimpissinger, an international tax and accounting law expert. At associate level, Clemens Willvonseder is a key name for tax-related investment advice and Barbara Gangl is the name to note for tax litigation and proceedings.
On top of succession planning, foundations and investment advice, Binder Grösswang is also well able to handle more niche matters regarding philanthropy, acquisition of luxury goods and change of residence. Clients include Austrian nationals and foreign nationals, for instance from the UAE, Germany and the US. Both Andreas Hable and Bernd Schneiderbauer add their corporate and M&A background to private client advice. The duo collaborate closely with other departments at the firm to provide a full-service private client offering.
Binder Grösswang operates an internationally-oriented corporate and M&A practice, often collaborating with global law firms to provide services in cross-border matters involving Germany, the UK, the Gulf region or the Far East. Such transactions are a core area for Michael Kutschera and Thomas Schirmer. Andreas Hable also covers tax aspects and works with private clients as well as entrepreneurs, whereas Florian Khol has significant experience of joint ventures, public take-overs and stock listed companies. Philipp Kapl, a public M&A and private equity specialist, was promoted in February 2020, which brings the team’s partner count to eight.
