Position

Nick specialises in criminal fraud and associated commercial and financial work. He has considerable experience of large scale prosecutions brought by the SFO, FSA/FCA, MHRA, HMRC, CPS Fraud Group and Trading Standards in the UK and equivalent proceedings abroad, including US white collar and corporate fraud investigations brought by the FBI/Department of Justice and the SEC.

Alongside his fraud specialism, Nick continues to act for individuals charged with serious and organised criminal offences, including murder, corporate manslaughter, firearms and large drugs conspiracies. He is skilled at appellate work, having appeared twice in the House of Lords and brought fresh successful appeals against conviction in the Court of Appeal.

Nick also has extensive experience of regulatory and professional misconduct proceedings, acting for individuals, directors and companies. These proceedings often overlap with his criminal fraud practice. He has also represented police officers, teachers, solicitors and other professionals over the years, whether in the Crown Court, before their disciplinary body or at inquests.
