Position

Simon Gorton QC is a barrister specialising in all aspects of employment law. Simon practises throughout the UK, in the North at Exchange Chambers and in the South at Old Square Chambers. He is consistently ranked in the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners as a leader in Employment Law.

Simon’s attracts diverse clients from corporations, company directors, hospital trusts, trade unions, public bodies, doctors and private individuals.

He handles all types of employment disputes in the High Court, Employment Tribunal, EAT and the Court of Appeal for employers, employees, Directors and shareholders.

Simon recently represented a former LIBOR currency trader in High Court litigation based on a Malik claim. The action also included a £1billion counterclaim.

Simon also specialises in high value personal injury claims (acquired brain and spinal injuries as well as complex psychiatric cases). He is well known as an astute tactician managing multi-jurisdictional with employment and personal injury matters, including protection from harassment and stress claims
