Gisela Sampaio da Cruz Guedes has been a partner at BMA since 2012. Her practice focuses on major litigation involving contractual and corporate issues. She also acts as an expert on Brazilian law and as an arbitrator.

Assistant Professor in the Civil Law Department of the State University of Rio de Janeiro – UERJ, lecturing at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Course Coordinator, Brazilian Institute of Civil Law – IBDCivil.  Lecturer in Civil Law at the Center for Legal Research and Teaching of Law – CEPED/UERJ, the Getúlio Vargas Foundation – FGV, the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro – PUC/Rio, and the Magistrates’ School of Rio de Janeiro – EMERJ.  Arbitrator with the Brazilian Center for Mediation and Arbitration – CBMA (since 2009) and the CIESP/FIESP Chamber of Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (since 2015).
