Emma specialises in Cayman Islands investment funds advising on all aspects of open-ended and closed-ended structures. She has extensive experience working with major financial institutions, hedge fund managers and their onshore counsel advising on the establishment, regulation, corporate governance and ongoing operation of investment funds.
In addition to having a particular specialism in hedge funds, Emma also regularly advises clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters including re-structurings, mergers as well as listings on the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange.
Before joining Ogier in 2017, Emma spent ten years working in the investment funds team of another leading international law firm in the Cayman Islands. Prior to that she spent three years working in the M&A team of SJ Berwin LLP (subsequently King & Wood Mallesons) gaining extensive experience in corporate finance M&A, both public and private.
