Position

Lorna is Partner within the Corporate & Commercial group. Lorna advises on a wide range of issues within the corporate and commercial law practice area including mergers and acquisitions, disposals, corporate restructurings, shareholder agreements, joint ventures, general commercial contracts and corporate governance and compliance.  Lorna has a particular focus on share acquisitions and disposals and business and asset acquisitions and disposals and regularly advises companies from incorporation through to exit.

In addition to her corporate and commercial work, Lorna advises employers and trustees on all aspects of pensions law including advising on employers’ and trustees’ obligations and duties under pension trusts and pension legislation and advises clients in respect of the drafting and amending of pension trust documentation.

Addleshaw Goddard‘s employment group assists domestic and foreign clients with a range of individual and collective employment law matters, from day-to-day advice to major corporate transactions to complex employment investigations. The team regularly handles board-level disputes before the Supreme Court, High Court, Labour Court and WRC. Maura Connolly, who specialises in handling contentious and non-contentious employment law aspects, co-heads the practice with David Cantrell, who has vast expertise in assisting multinational employers with immigration issues. Addleshaw Goddard‘s Dublin office is well versed in handling big-ticket corporate and M&A transactions. The team reports an increase in work from clients in the food sector, and continues to handle a high volume of venture capital investments involving medical devices transactions. Leisure, retail, energy, pharmaceuticals and insurance are also key sector strengths for the department. Deborah Kelly leads the corporate practice and brings extensive experience in advising on life sciences, energy and hospitality matters. John Olden, Leonora Malone and Nicola McGrath are highly regarded practitioners in the department. Lorna Osborne made partner in January 2023.
