Career

Álvaro Seijo Bar joined Uría Menéndez in 2012 and was made a senior associate in 2021. He specialises in advising domestic and foreign companies on intellectual property, unfair competition and advertising law, and distribution and agency matters. He regularly advises companies from sectors such as technology, publishing, media, retail, food, telecommunications, banking, pharmaceuticals and manufacturing.

He also advises on civil and administrative litigation matters and in proceedings before Spanish and European Union public bodies. He negotiates contracts related to his practice areas, such as the transfer and licensing of intellectual property rights, technology transfer agreements, distribution, agency and franchise agreements.
