Career

Mikkel Vislie is a partner in Selmer’s real estate department which comprises the main areas of real estate development, transactions, and construction. Mikkel is a specialist within real estate development and transactions.

During the last 20 years, Mikkel has focused his practice on development, leases and financing of residential property, and on issues related to commercial property for public and private developers, real estate companies and investment managers. Mikkel advises several of the larger Norwegian real estate companies, and has been lead counsel for a number of major development projects, such as the development of Harbitz Torg, Via and the Sommerro-project . Through these projects Mikkel has developed a deep understanding of all of the legal issues related to major development projects, as well as considerable experience in the operational and commercial aspects of such projects.

The international legal directory Legal500 rates Mikkel as a Leading lawyer within the area Real estate, and he is also one of very few Norwegian real estate lawyers recognised in The Legal Hall of Fame. Further, Mikkel is also rated by Chambers as one of Norway’s most distinguished lawyers within Real estate.

Mikkel Vislie acts for clients in the heavy industry, offshore and IT sectors, advising on developments, transactions and the financing of commercial properties, while Sverre Nordlie is recommended for commercial real estate transactions.
