Position
For more than 20 years, Jan Steen Hansen has worked intensively with direct and indirect taxes. He advises Danish and foreign companies, pension funds, foundations, associations, public institutions and private individuals on matters relating to direct and indirect taxes.
Jan is an experienced and recognised tax specialist, focusing, among other things, on tax in connection with M&A transactions, taxation of pension funds, company and shareholder tax, equity and venture funds, financial products, EU and international tax, VAT and other indirect taxes as well as tax in Greenland. Jan also assists our clients with obtaining advance tax rulings from the Danish tax authorities. A substantial part of his work involves complaints proceedings before the National Tax Tribunal and tax cases before the courts.
Finally, Jan holds several positions of trust, providing him with first-hand knowledge of, among other things, new tax legislation and tax practice.
