Position
John Whelan is a partner and Head of A&L Goodbody’s Commercial & Technology group. John advises clients on contentious and regulatory matters and investigations with a focus within the technology and pharma sectors, and specifically on privacy, IP (patents), and telecoms regulation. He has been involved in many of the most significant litigation cases in these areas that have come before the Irish courts over the last 20 years. Before joining A&L Goodbody as a partner, John worked with Freshfields in London and Hong Kong. He previously headed up A&L Goodbody’s US offices in San Francisco and Palo Alto.
