According to statistics, 70% of the daily entertainment in China
is attributed to viewing various online videos and articles. Many
new creative ideas are based on classics. We will see that many
original video clips have been imitated and popular original songs
have been covered. Such "creativity" however, has also
caused various problems with copyright infringement. Some original
works are reprinted without authorization, manuscripts are
plagiarized... In the new media era, the current situation of
"easy to infringe, difficult to protect rights" plagues
copyright owners. Outside of complaining on Weibo (the Chinese
social media platform), many original authors have nowhere to turn.
A popular Chinese blogger recently launched a hashtag
#SayNoToPlagiarism on Weibo, which has been viewed over 250 million
times.
