Le 5 juin 2024, le Bureau de la concurrence Canada (le « Bureau ») a annoncé avoir conclu un accord avec Sirius XM Canada, une société de radiodiffusion canadienne qui distribue des services de radio par satellite au Canada (« Sirius »). L'entente vise certaines pratiques de Sirius en matière d'affichage de prix que le Bureau qualifie d'« indications de prix partiel »¹.

À propos des indications de prix partiel

L'indication de prix partiel est une pratique qui consiste à faire une déclaration sur un prix, alors que ce prix n'est pas réellement atteignable puisque le consommateur devra, en réalité, payer d'autres frais supplémentaires². Cette pratique constitue une représentation fausse ou trompeuse (à moins que les frais additionnels ne soient imposés en vertu d'un régime législatif fédéral ou provincial), contraire à la Loi sur la concurrence³ (la « Loi »).
