Local government, planning environment and licensing: advising on and/or attending public inquiries in relation to residential, commercial, agricultural and leisure developments; South Gloucestershire Council waste and mineral local plan; West Wiltshire D C Local Plan – housing, employment and recreational issues; Exeter City Council Local Plan Inquiry – employment, housing and landscape; Gloucestershire Waste Local Plan; advising/attending inquiries in relation to listed buildings and conservation areas; telecommunication mast appeals; rights of way inquiries; enforcement notice appeals; Magistrates and Crown Court trials in relation to: planning and environmental issues, including successful tree preservation order prosecution. Family: particular interest in care work and has wide experience of lengthy cases including non-accidental injury allegations, and sexual abuse involving parents with psychiatric and psychological problems. Appears in all tiers of courts and receives instructions to act for parents, guardians, local authorities, the Official Solicitor and CAFCASS; regularly undertakes cases relating to injunctive relief and has particular experience in complex and serious committal work.
