Michal joined Twenty Essex after successfully completing his pupillage in September 2018. During his pupillage he gained experience in a wide range of practice areas.
He is currently serving as the judicial assistant to Lord Reed, Deputy President of the Supreme Court. Michal will return to full time practice at the end of this legal year.
Since 2016, Michal has also been teaching undergraduates in contract and tort law tutorials at a number of Oxford colleges.
Before joining Twenty Essex, he completed the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC), having received the Peter Taylor Scholarship, which is the largest scholarship awarded by Inner Temple. He also attended Harvard Law School, where he worked as a mediator in the Harvard Law School Mediation Programme and as a Student Attorney in the Harvard Prison Legal Assistance Project.
Michal graduated from Oxford in 2015 with the Gibbs Prize Proxime for the second highest performance in contract, tort, land and trusts and the Martin Wronker Prize for the best performance in tort.
