Position

Vivienne has been a solicitor for over 30 years. She trained at BLM and is now the firm’s Managing Partner having held a number of senior management positions within the firm.

As Managing Partner, in addition to being responsible for putting into action the strategy set by the Executive Board and ensuring the smooth running of the firm’s service to clients, internal operations and financial wellbeing, she is focused on developing solutions for clients beyond legal advice.

Vivienne introduced a data analytics team to BLM and played a lead role in launching the firm’s BLM Innovations suite of tools.

The well-being of all colleagues at BLM is an important part of her role. She founded the firm’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee and BLM’s employee forum, The Voice of BLM.

Prior to taking up the role of Managing Partner Vivienne's ligation practise was focused upon the defence of complex casualty claims, with a  particular interest in occupational disease claims, including stress, bullying and harassment claims and psychiatric injury resulting from assaults at work.

She also supported clients in the private prison and secure estate sector in respect of claims involving assault, false imprisonment, misfeasance in public office, breach of human rights and negligence.

In her roles as a client relationship partner she worked  with a number of senior stakeholders including claims directors, claims managers, corporate counsel and insurance risk managers, providing strategic advice on the management of claims end-to-end as well as technical issues.
