Kylie regularly advises on major acquisitions and disposals, multi-phase development schemes and sophisticated landlord and tenant arrangements. Clients value her for her calm leadership, collaborative style and ability to distil issues quickly; particularly where multiple stakeholders or time pressures are involved.

Emma is a Director in the Commercial Property team. Emma advises on a range of Commercial Property transactions, including freehold and leasehold acquisitions and Landlord and Tenant matters. Deborah is a highly successful family lawyer. She has 27 years’ experience in divorce, finances and child law and a special interest in working with victims of domestic abuse. Deborah knows that she improves outcomes for clients by reducing conflict. She has delivered training on domestic abuse to other solicitors. Dominic de Bono

Dominic is a Senior Associate and commercial litigator in SE-Solicitor’s Dispute Resolution Department. He has over 25 years’ experience in professional negligence, contractual disputes, insolvency, civil fraud and asset recovery, contentious probate, intellectual property disputes, financial services litigation and judicial review. Dominic has acted for a wide range of individuals and high-profile clients including groups of litigants, major banks, liquidators, administrators, trustees in bankruptcy and government agencies.

Kristina is a Senior Associate Solicitor in the Private Client team. She is experienced in all aspects of client work including Wills, Probate, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters. Kristina is a Full Member of STEP, The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. Kristina prides herself in providing an excellent service to her clients and strives to be compassionate in all aspects of her work. Kristina enjoys assisting elderly and vulnerable clients and giving them peace of mind so they can be sure that their affairs are in order.

Together with John Spratt, David co-founded the practice in 2002. He has spent his working life as a private client practitioner. After 26 years in London, having obtained his first grant of probate in 1967, David relocated to Banbury in 2000 bringing with him his significant London client base. He specialises in large complex estates and trusts. A member of STEP, David has produced three editions of Brighouse Will Precedents.

Andy is a Senior Associate in the Debt Recovery Team at SE-Solicitors, with over 25 years’ experience within debt recovery having worked within commercial, social housing and property sectors. He has a wealth of experience in ground rent and service charge recoveries, advising both managing agents and freeholders nationally.

Lucy is a Director and dedicated Private Client lawyer with over 30 years’ experience, advising clients on how to navigate the complexities of family wealth. She works with landowners, farmers, families, trustees and family offices in all aspects of estate planning including wills, trusts, lasting powers of attorney and family governance issues. Lucy regularly advises on the administration of larger complex family estates and acts as a trustee and attorney for clients. She has particular expertise in wealth preservation, tax and succession planning. Clients value her personable and collaborative style and is known for advice that is practicable and pragmatic. She is often called to help families resolve situations where legal crises have arisen as a result of deteriorating mental or physical health.

Richard is a Director and Head of Debt Recovery at SE-Solicitors. His experience encompasses volume debt recovery, contentious litigation, insolvency, telephone collection techniques, and an extensive working knowledge of systems in support of client requirements. His specialities include pre-legal collections, legal collections, enforcement, insolvency, training, and systems reporting. Richard frequently lectures on the subject of collection and the latest effects of legislation on the credit industry. His lecturing ability has seen him present to the Institute of Credit Management at local and regional levels.

Kerry is an experienced Team Leader in the Debt Recovery team dealing with commercial and consumer based pre legal collections, legal proceedings and enforcement including insolvency. She has expertise in processing and providing the Financial Conduct Authority Submissions quarterly. Kerry has been with the firm for over 10 years and manages a large team of 6 litigation assistants. Kerry and her team look after many corporate clients with large portfolios of debt, including one of the company’s largest clients.

Martin Hughes is a Consultant and former Director and Commercial Recoveries specialist. Martin’s expertise covers all areas of credit management including, Credit control policy, consumer & commercial litigation, International debt recovery, Insolvency, Legal process, Pre-legal collections, General credit management advice, Credit Risk, Integration of company sales ledgers and department structures. Martin’s clients often describe him as a professional who takes his time to understand a client’s business and requirements, and handles his cases in a highly approachable, knowledgeable manner while providing excellent advice on what action his client needs to take.

Sigourney Lee-Smith

Sigourney is a Associate Solicitor in the dynamic Family Law team in Banbury. She has particular experience in Child Law and has been an active volunteer with a family contact centre. Being a member of Resolution, Sigourney is committed to achieving fair outcomes for clients by adhering to the Code of Practice which aims to reduce conflict. She undertakes advocacy on behalf of her clients in Court, both live and video Hearings.

Jennie is an expert in agricultural property, with a background in commercial property. Jennie has wide experience in dealing with sales of farms and estates, including overage provisions, unregistered titles, and restructuring the ownership of family farms. Jennie also deals with transactions involving HS2, whether sales under blight notices or general vesting declarations. She also deals with issues surrounding agricultural occupiers, whether under documented agreements or not, as well as mortgages, charges, and deeds of easement. Jennie also has an interest in dealing with charity property such as Village Halls or Recreation Areas, and dealing with first registration of property at the Land Registry.

James Macdonald

James is a Senior Associate in the Corporate & Commercial team advising on all aspects of corporate and commercial law. He acts for a diverse range of clients including national companies, SMEs, individual investors, as well as international companies and individuals based overseas. James specialises in domestic and cross border mergers and acquisitions. He also regularly deals with business asset sales, corporate finance work, shareholders agreements, joint ventures, investment agreements and commercial contracts such as distribution agreements and agency agreements.

Tom is a Senior Associate Solicitor in the Private Client team. His primary areas of expertise are Wills, Trusts, Personal Taxation, Powers of Attorney and Administration of Estates. He specialises in particular in estates with a cross-border element. He advises on Court of Protection matters including Lasting Powers of Attorney, Deputyship and Statutory Wills. Tom also advises on contentious matters such as disputes over validity of wills and claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependents) Act 1975.

Tina is an Associate and Team Leader in the Debt Recovery team, specialising in Commercial Recoveries. Her experience is primarily collecting commercial debts on behalf of UK based clients dealing with Pre-legal strategy, legal collections, enforcement options and all aspects of insolvency. As a leader with a team of 5, she also plays an active role in managing the department. Tina is the IT Champion for her department, helping implement firm wide changes.

Patrick Mulcare

Patrick is a Director and dedicated Family lawyer who leads the highly respected family law team across the Banbury and Bicester offices. He deals with divorce and separation issues and has worked on a number of high-value and property-related matters including agricultural holdings and estates. Patrick strives to resolve disputes without court intervention, although he has conducted a broad variety of matters over recent years, both in and out of court. Patrick was appointed as Managing Director of SE-Solicitors in Summer 2024, having joined in March 2006. His passion for delivering service excellence, teamed with his astute commercial acumen, acquired prior to his legal career from experiences in London and regional businesses, is well-placed to drive the continued success of the firm.

Catherine O\'Riordan

Catherine is a Senior Associate in the Corporate and Commercial team. She acts for a wide range of clients, including owner-managed businesses, national companies, and the UK subsidiaries of European companies. Catherine has particular expertise in warehousing and logistics agreements, online selling and company secretarial work. She also works closely with the firm’s residential and commercial property lawyers, dealing with some of the country’s best-known developers in the formation and administration of residents’ management companies.

Harriet is a skilled Licensed Conveyancer, advising her clients on a broad range of complex and valuable transactions relating to high end residential property, country homes, agriculture and property development. She has gained expertise in some more of the unusual or complex areas such as unregistered land and property, adverse possession, granting new leases, lease extensions, sales of development plots and barn conversions and overage provisions. Harriet utilises her background and knowledge from growing up on her family farm in Wardington to benefit her clients. She is also a member of the Agricultural Law Association.

Sneh is a Senior Associate Solicitor in the Commercial Property team providing non-contentious commercial property work. She particularly specialises in sales and acquisitions, re-financing and landlord and tenant matters. Sneh strives to give her clients clear, pragmatic and commercial advice to help them achieve their goals in a cost effective and efficient manner. She takes a keen interest in her clients’ businesses to try to understand their needs with a mindset of assisting as if she was a partner in their business. Sneh’s clients range from investment funds, pension schemes, private individuals and SMEs, and she acts for clients in a wide variety of industries including the automotive, food and drink, hospitality and retail sectors.

Hitendra is a Director and Head of Department of the Corporate and Commercial team. Hitendra has over 20 years experience in corporate and commercial law, including business sales, mergers and acquisitions, MBOs and MBIs, high value corporate transactions, joint ventures, distributorship agreements and franchises.

Ryan is an Associate in the Commercial Property department at SE-Solicitors, with experience in a range of matters, including freehold and leasehold acquisitions and sales, lease extensions, deeds of variation, unregistered properties, option agreements and superior lease surrenders.

Philomena Price

Philomena is a Director in the Employment team, advising on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law. She acts for a range of clients from national corporate companies to individuals. Her particular expertise is supporting clients within the transport, food and drink, hospitality and leisure industry sectors. With over 20 years working in the legal industry, she boasts an excellent record in employment tribunals. . She has been involved in successfully fighting a variety of claims, including complex discrimination claims, unfair dismissal and Agency Workers Regulations claims. Example of recent workload: conducting large scale collective redundancy exercises; advising on high profile executive severances; implementing disciplinary and grievance procedures; advising on long term sick absences; advising on TUPE in relation to the acquisition of a business. She regularly delivers training in person and has developed modules for on-line training for induction purposes on a variety of topics including Equality and Diversity. Prior to training as a solicitor, she worked at the Equality and Human Rights Commission and consequently has a particular interest in discrimination law.

Andrew Querelle

Andrew is a Director in the Commercial Property team. He has a wide range of commercial property experience particularly in relation to commercial development work and acting for corporate occupiers.

Monicka is a Senior Associate, Mediator and Collaborative Practitioner in the Family team. Monicka has almost 10 years’ experience working as a Family Solicitor, and she qualified as a Mediator in 2019. Monicka has recently trained as a Collaborative Practitioner, to help separating couples resolve their issues in an out of court setting at a series of round table meetings. Monicka advises on a range of family law issues on the breakdown of a relationship, including divorce, dissolution of civil partnerships and separation, financial arrangements on divorce, dissolution or separation, matters relating to children and pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements.

Krizha is a passionate and dedicated Associate Solicitor, who strives to achieve the best possible outcomes for her clients, offering pragmatic and cost-effective solutions. Since joining the Banking and Finance team, Krizha has advised clients on the delivery up of high valued assets and vehicles, pursued debtors and guarantors for shortfall liabilities due under unregulated Hire Purchase Agreements and Guarantees and Indemnities. Krizha is a Professional Mentor for undergraduate law students at the University of Buckingham and is pleased to be helping these students enrich their learning with practical experience. She co-founded the Bicester Young Professionals Networking Group and is a member of the Banbury Young Professionals Networking Group. She is also a member of the Junior Lawyers Division Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

Graham is an associate solicitor within our Commercial Property team. Graham specialises in commercial landlord and tenant work, lease renewals and commercial property management such as assignments of existing leases, licences to alter, underletting’s or surrenders. He works for a number of the firm’s larger portfolio clients, both working from a landlord and a tenant’s perspective, giving him a broad range and experience on all sides of a commercial letting transaction. Graham works for both local, regional and national clients. Graham prides himself on providing a high level service to clients and providing a client, whether large or small, with clear and concise advice in a timely and personal manner.

Julia is an experienced Solicitor, specialising in Probate, Wills and Trusts within the busy Private Client team. She chose this area of law because of the high degree of client contact. She is easy to talk to and empathetic. Julia advises clients on a range of legal needs from small probate matters to large complex estates. She has administered agricultural estates, obtaining land valuations, reading the partnership accounts, and determining the inheritance tax reliefs to claim. She has subsequently negotiated with HMRC in order to obtain the best outcome for the clients. She has frequently prepared complex estate accounts and income and capital gains tax returns on behalf of executors. Julia also deals with the Land Registry transfer of land and properties to beneficiaries.

Carol is a Director in the Employment and Dispute Resolution team advising on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law. She also litigates in the Civil Courts in connection with claims arising out of breach of confidentiality and restrictive covenants including injunctive work. She has experience of acting as supervising solicitor and submitting independent reports to the Court on Seize and Search Orders.

Manider is a Solicitor in our Corporate and Commercial department, having recently completed his training contract at the firm. Manider gained experience in Dispute Resolution (Banking and Finance), Employment and Commercial Property during his training.

Ore is a Solicitor in our Private Client team, having recently completed his training contract at the firm. Ore gained experience in Employment, Dispute Resolution and Private Client during his training.

Annette is a Solicitor and Associate Member of The Property Institute with over 25 years’ experience dealing with a wide range of property related matters, representing freehold landlords, management companies and managing agents in connection with both commercial and residential spaces. Annette also has experience with dealing with wayleave agreements for the installation of broadband apparatus by statutory undertakers.

John is a Founding Partner of SE-Solicitors and a highly regarded Solicitor in the Corporate & Commercial team. John’s role since retiring as Chairman and the Head of Department is a Consultant, sharing his 30 plus years of experience in a wide range of corporate transactions and agreements. This experience includes drafting and negotiating complex and high value commercial agreements for UK and international clients, negotiating, and completing sales and purchases of shares and businesses and management buy-ins and buy-outs; shareholders’ agreements and group re-organisations and has particular expertise in advising clients in the security industry.

Guy is a Director and leads the Residential Property, Country Homes and Agriculture teams at SE-Solicitors. Guy advises clients on a broad range of property transactions particularly in relation to high value complex transactions. With over 25 years’ experience, Guy is particularly skilled in a wide variety of unusual and complex transactions including farm sales, advising on existing and new tenancies.

Andrew Symington

Andrew is a Senior Associate Solicitor in the Commercial Property team. He specialises in all aspects of non-contentious commercial property law and acts for a diverse range of clients both in Oxfordshire and nationally. He provides pragmatic advice and an efficient service to his clients. Andrew first came to Oxfordshire as an undergraduate at St John’s College, Oxford University. He then spent several years in London working for some of the biggest names in the commercial property industry. During this time he also gained a Master’s Degree in Real Estate Finance from Cambridge University and completed an Investment Management Certificate (so he would be FCA regulated to manage investments).

Liliana Tomasulo

Liliana is a Director in the Private Client team in the Banbury office. Liliana advises clients on all aspects of private client matters. Her clients include high net worth individuals, business owners and farmers. She has a particular interest in the administration of complex, taxable estates. She is dedicated to providing the best service that she can, and strives to mitigate inheritance tax and capital gains tax where possible for her clients, often thinking unconventionally in order to do so.

Petra is an experienced Dispute Resolution and specialist Insolvency Solicitor, with over 20 years post qualification experience. She deals with all types of commercial disputes, contentious probate and both contentious and non-contentious insolvency related matters. Petra acts for a wide range of clients, ranging from large national corporates to owner managed businesses, private individuals and insolvency practitioners. Petra prides herself on giving pragmatic and commercial advice, and on being approachable and personable.

Anis is a Director and experience Solicitor in the Banking & Finance team, specialising in Banking and Finance Litigation. He acts for several national secondary lenders including Asset finance companies and factoring companies in the tracing and recovery of assets. Anis has particular expertise in asset finance fraud and urgent delivery up applications and claims against guarantors. With over 24 years’ experience Anis has a wide range of financial litigation experience including acting for lenders in complex mortgage frauds and claims against professionals. He regularly appears in the Business and Property Courts for clients without counsel adding value to their business and cost recoveries. As part of the banking and finance team Anis provides advice to specialist lenders including advice on reviewing security documentation. In addition he supports the Dispute team on defended commercial litigation matters.

Andrew is a Consultant and highly regarded Commercial Property lawyer with over 30 years’ experience delivering high quality real estate legal advice. Andrew specialises in advising on the assembly and development of land for development, strategic land promotion and options and investment properties. Andrew acted as Managing Director at SE-Solicitors since 2018, growing the business to be a leading law firm in the Heart of England. After stepping down, he has focused his attentions on supporting his clients with continued dedication and expertise. For over 20 years, he has also led the highly respected Commercial Property team across the Banbury and Bicester offices.

Ian is a Director in the Commercial Property team and has experience of acting on a wide range of Commercial Property transactions including landlord and tenant matters for corporate occupiers, but specialises in property development work, acting for both landowners and developers. Ian enjoys working with clients to get transactions “over the line” in accordance with the client’s objectives and timescales and understands how important and effective it can be to speak with all those involved to keep the transaction on budget and within any given deadline.

Maria is a Team Leader with over 20 years experience in debt recovery litigation focusing on disputed debt recovery matters. Maria prides herself on developing a good working relationship with all of her clients to improve the prospect of recovery for them. Maria is commercially aware and has a practical approach, which is a must when advising clients on lower value claims.
