Ariel Mihovilovic has concentrated his practice in Mergers and Acquisitions, Business Organizations, Energy and Project Finance. He also has experience in Litigation and Arbitration and Capital Markets. Since 2012 he is a Civil Law Professor at the School of Law of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where he previously was an assistant-professor of Civil, Economic and Business Law (2003-2009). He worked as an international visiting attorney at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, New York, between 2010 and 2011. He is admitted to practice in Chile and in the State of New York. He joined Claro & Cia. in 2007 and became a partner in 2017.

Team head José María Eyzaguirre B is recommended for tender offers, public transactions and corporate governance issues; Cristóbal Eyzaguirre‘s broad expertise facilitates a constant role in complex M&A transactions; and Rodrigo Ochagavía has extensive M&A experience, particularly in the energy, pensions and insurance sectors. Representative work includes the development, construction, operation and financing of hydroelectric, solar, wind and thermoelectric power plants, along with the project financing and construction of oil and gas pipelines. The highly-rated team’s scope of work covers corporate, regulatory and litigation issues, along with power purchase agreements (PPAs); it also has expertise in water law, assisting clients from across the mining, electric, industrial, agricultural and finance sectors with projects requiring significant water consumption.
