Kevin Taylor

Kevin is the Managing Partner of our Bermuda office and is the Head of the Insolvency and Dispute Resolution practice. He specialises in commercial disputes, particularly contentious liquidation proceedings, receiverships, issues related to corporate governance, shareholder disputes and high value asset recovery. Kevin leads a team of lawyers who provide advice on all aspects of Bermuda law with particular focus on matters of corporate and international finance law, mergers and acquisitions, insurance, investments funds, fintech and regulatory matters. He regularly advises liquidators and creditors in complex cross-border liquidations. Kevin also acts for distressed companies and provides advice to boards of directors seeking to obtain court protection to permit corporate restructuring including by way of formal scheme of arrangement. His experience includes: issues of breach of directors' fiduciary duty breach of contract enforcements of judgments and arbitration awards anti-suit injunctions to restrain foreign proceedings freezing injunctions, duties of confidentiality and mis selling claims. Kevin has made numerous appearances before the Supreme Court of Bermuda, Court of Appeal for Bermuda and has appeared in the Privy Council. His advice and perspective on the outcomes of different cases is often sought by both judges and other lawyers.

Steven is Head of the Trust Disputes team and a member of our Insolvency & Dispute Resolution practice in Bermuda.He specialises in high-value commercial litigation, arbitration and enforcement actions. He focuses particularly on contentious insolvency and restructuring, trust disputes and corporate disputes. He is a barrister with over 20 years’ experience, as well as an experienced advocate.Steven’s expertise includes cross-border insolvencies, schemes of arrangement, receiverships, asset recovery/tracing, and related corporate governance issues. He regularly advises liquidators and receivers, creditors and the boards of distressed companies. Steven also has experience of high-value trust litigation and court-approved restructurings.
