Themba is a partner in our litigation department. He obtained his LLB degree from the University of the Witwatersrand and started his legal career at Hogan Lovells (SA) as a candidate attorney. He has 10 years post admission experience having been admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in August 2008.

Themba holds a Right of Appearance in the High Court of South Africa and a Strategic Litigation certificate from LEAD. He is a member of the Black Lawyers Association.

Themba has a particular interest in civil litigation, with special emphasis on commercial litigation, insurance and personal injury litigation. His practise experience includes conducting research, advising clients and drafting opinions to clients on various aspects of civil litigation and drafting Pleadings and Notices in both Magistrates’ Court and High Court. He has also conducted his own Magistrates’ Court and High Court motion proceedings and Magistrates’ Court trial proceedings.

Themba has successfully defended several matters brought against a Government parastatal, some of which involved huge quantum and/or complicated merits. He has also written an article titled “Private or public hospitals – who cares?” which was published in a legal magazine, Mondaq.
