Career
Matthew is a Partner in Simpson Millar’s Personal Injury department. His main area of expertise is serious injury claims, such as amputations, spinal cord injuries, brain damage and head injuries.
Since he mainly represents clients who have suffered life changing injuries, many of the compensation settlements he has secured exceed £1 million.
He is driven by a desire to improve his clients’ quality of life and help them rebuild their lives after suffering serious injury.
Matthew has specialised in this area of law for 30 years and joined Simpson Millar in 2016. In 2018, he was shortlisted for the Catastrophic Lawyer of the Year award at the National Personal Injury Awards.

Matthew is a member of the Spinal Injuries Association, the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and the British Association of Brain Injury Case Managers.
Leisure
Matthew plays football every week and was also selected for the Byrom Street Chambers Cricket team.
