Position

Rebecca is a highly effective and experienced full time Civil and Commercial and Workplace Mediator of commercial disputes both domestically and internationally. Described as “outstanding” and “hugely impressive”, Rebecca has been regularly mediating face to face and online since 2009.

Rebecca mediates a wide range of disputes, mostly high value, some involving insurers. Comfortable with multiple parties (largest numbers: 30 corporate parties (competition law); 10 siblings (TOLATA, 20 properties)). Rebecca frequently mediates parties from a wide range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds, beliefs and diversities.

Rebecca is a specialist mediator for disputes that relate to:

•  company/ commercial issues;
• family business;
• trusts;
• property;
• aerospace;
• defence and aviation; and
• the creative industries. 

 Rebecca can also be appointed as a Mediation Advocate.

Career

Full time experienced Civil and Commercial Mediator with IPOS Mediation, the mediation chambers. Rebecca has over 35 years’ experience in assisting global businesses and individuals to resolve disputes and reach agreements. 

1987-1995 Qualified then worked as a company/ commercial solicitor in the City of London (Reed Smith then Laytons) advising international clients. 

1995 Founder and Principal of own solicitors’ firm, Attree & Co, specialising in international commercial advice. 

From 2002 – 2009 CEO and Director of Attree Estates Limited, a property development company and also the Executor of a large complex global estate.

2009 Accredited as a Civil and Commercial mediator with ADRg in the UK.

2011 Accredited as a civil and commercial mediator with INADR in the US.

2013 One of the first mediators in the UK to become fully accredited to mediate online and has regularly mediated online since then. 

2018 Accredited as a Workplace Mediator with ADRg.

2015 – 2019 additionally an Accredited mediator trainer and mediation advocate trainer.
