Position

Alistair is the Head of Commercial Litigation at Tyr and was a founding member of the firm in 2019. Alistair specialises in complex commercial litigation. His clients range from major corporates to high net worth individuals. He has dealt with many high value claims in the High Court and Appeal Courts, including several cases that have been reported and attracted press attention. Alistair has particular experience of claims related to financial services and disputes involving allegations of fraud. He has also dealt with many complex professional negligence claims, especially in relation to unsatisfactory investment, tax or legal advice. Alistair’s cases often involve an international element. He is experienced in arbitration.

Career

Alistair was a founding member of Tyr in 2019. Alistair trained and spent 6 years at Walker Morris. He joined Stewarts in 2010 and helped establish the Leeds commercial litigation team, prior to 5 years as a partner at Schofield Sweeney.

Alistair is a member of the Professional Negligence Lawyers Association, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and an alumni of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses programme.
