Position

Matthew is a founding Partner and co-department head of the Commercial Litigation team at Tyr.

Matthew specialises in complex commercial disputes with particular experience of investor disputes, director/officer misfeasance, financial services disputes, civil fraud and competition litigation. His work has spanned a range of industry sectors including financial services, retail, technology, heavy industry, automotive, aeronautical and the public sector working for a range of clients from large multi-national corporates to individual entrepreneurs and investors.  He has also acted on a number of large group actions.

Career

Matthew founded the Commercial Litigation team at Tyr with Alistair Kennedy in 2019. Matthew trained and worked at Addleshaw Goddard between 2005 and 2012 and Stewarts between 2012 and 2017, before joining Schofield Sweeney as a Partner in 2017.
