Robert joined Isadore Goldman in 2015 as a director, bringing with him his existing commercial property practice which he had built up over several years

Robert has a particular specialism in residential and commercial  property development and has, over the years, built up an exceptional client base of developers and investors.

For such client’s he deals with all aspects of land development including:

  • acquisitions via contracts conditional on planning permission and options;
  • Infrastructure agreements for installation of adoptable roads, sewers, gas or electricity mains;
  • Disposals in accordance with section 106 agreements such as affordable homes and open spaces;
  • Disposals of individual units which may apply to a site with 4 units up to 150 units.
  • Setting up of management companies to deal with managed facilities upon development sites.

Robert also acts for numerous property investors who are active in both commercial and residential sectors, dealing with leasehold and freehold transactions across substantial portfolios.

Robert provides property support to the insolvency teams of Isadore Goldman in respect of sales and other disposals of properties within insolvency estates.

In 2020, the firm decided to split the branding of the firm so that it could concentrate the Isadore Goldman brand upon the insolvency market and separately focus the Isadores brand on it’s commercial property and corporate client base that had been built by Robert, Nathan Muskett and Stephen Ryde Weller, both of whom do corporate work.  Since then, the Isadores brand has gone from strength to strength.

Robert has been ranked within the Legal 500 for a number of years.  He has been described in the Legal 500 as “a superb property lawyer” with “a rare commercial and pragmatic insight” and “the best in the business for attention to detail and robust, consistent advice”.

Isadores has a niche commercial practice, being particularly focused on insolvency. Practice head Robert Pyke has broad expertise in residential and commercial development work to handle the property aspects of insolvency cases. The ‘exceptional‘ Pyke and senior associate Lauren Toynton are the key lawyers providing support to the firm’s corporate and insolvency teams, and Pyke recently assisted Grant Thornton LLP as trustee in the sale of residential properties and industrial units, as well as dealing with the Crown Estate in respect of a property owned by a management company that was dissolved.
