The practice is also active in matters concerning the provision of electronic services and e-commerce, as well as data protection issues. ‘Experienced negotiator’ Ilko Stoyanov, who specialises in corporate mandates and M&A deals arising out of the telecoms sector, leads the team alongside head of regulatory Stefana Tsekova. Radoslav Chemshirov left the firm in November 2021.

The interdisciplinary team at Schoenherr (in cooperation with Stoyanov & Tsekova) has experience of acting for public and private sector clients on major energy, infrastructure and industrial projects, as well as public procurements. Stefana Tsekova heads the practice group and is experienced in handling energy projects, including advising Alstom on an open €65m railcars maintenance tender procedure announced by the Bulgarian Railway Company. Schoenherr handles a range of energy-related mandates across the oil and gas and electricity sectors, including transactional, competition, regulatory and project financing matters, among others. The team is noted for its capability in renewable energy projects, such as advising MET Group on the acquisition of 42 MW wind park from Enel Green Power.
