Gian Michele assists private and public companies, State administration and EU institutions, with particular focus in proceedings before European Commission, EU jurisdictions (Court of First Instance and European Court of Justice), and, at national level, in proceedings before ordinary and administrative courts, Regulatory and Supervisory authorities (Autorità Garante della Concorrenza e del Mercato, Autorità per le Garanzie nelle Comunicazioni). He has developed a specific expertise in a number of industrial sectors (manufacture industry; banking and financial services; maritime, rail and air transport; logistic and postal services; electronic communications; broadcasting and audio-visual; energy), where it has provided a wide range of services to top-tier companies, including multinational groups and industrial and professional associations.
Career
Gian Michele Roberti joined the Firm in 2020 as a Partner.
From 2004, he has been Professor of European Union law, Competition and Internal Market at the Faculty of Economics, University “La Sapienza” (Rome); during this period, he has held courses on the European Economic Constitution and on the Law of Free Movement of People and Business in the European Union. From 1998 to 2004 he has been Professor of International Law and International Organisation at Law Faculty, University of Cagliari. From 1997 to 1998 he has been Lecturer of EU Law at Law Faculty, University of Cassino. From 1987 to 1994 he has been Referendaire at the EC Court of Justice, Luxembourg: cabinet of Advocate General, Prof. Giuseppe Tesauro (1988-1994); cabinet of Judge, Prof. Giacinto Bosco (1987-1988). From 1985 to 1987 he has been Public service as a Diplomat at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Rome.
