The Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government has published its Action Plan under the Croke Park Public Sector Agreement for the local authority sector.  Each local authority is also drawing up its own individual action plan with a view to finalising these by the end of April.  The collated plans for all 34 local authorities are then to accompany the plan published by the Department.  The Department's plan is intended to represent the specific efficiencies and productivity measures which local authority management will implement at sectoral level under the second reporting period of the Agreement.  The plan deals with issues such as restructuring, shared services, procurement, e-Government, redeployment, productivity and performance.  The plan is available to view here.
