Crime (corporate and general); fraud: crime; police law; regulatory.

Position

Harpreet is widely acknowledged to be one of the Midland Circuit’s most promising juniors for his work in defending and prosecuting complex criminal cases on his own, as leading junior and as led junior. He is ranked consistently by Chambers UK and in the Legal 500. He was appointed a Treasury Counsel monitoree in December 2017. He is a CPS level 4 prosecutor who is authorised to prosecute rape cases. In addition, Harpreet is appointed (at level 4) to three of the CPS’ Specialist Advocate Panels: the Counter Terrorism Panel, the Fraud Panel and the Serious Crime Group Panel. His busy practice includes regulatory work [he is appointed to the List of Specialist Regulatory Advocates in Health and Safety and Environmental Law] and he is recognised nationally for his work in representing police officers in disciplinary proceedings and before the Police Appeals Tribunal. Harpreet is a natural advocate who receives praise from the judiciary (including a former Lord Chief Justice) and he is commended for his thorough preparation. He wins his clients’ confidence with speed and his ability to communicate with ease and sensitivity has resulted in many instructions to represent vulnerable defendants and those with mental health difficulties.
