Position

Product liability, clinical negligence and personal injury. In product liability she has particular experience in group actions involving pharmaceuticals and medical devices. She is currently instructed in the Metal on Metal hip litigation. Recent cases include the PIP Breast Implant Litigation and litigation relating to TVT (vaginal mesh) and gastric bands. She also acted in the in the Oral Contraceptive Group Litigation. Her clinical negligence practice encompasses both claimant and defendant work. She is regularly instructed by the NHSLA and other defence organisations. She is involved in a wide range of cases such as severe obstetric injury, delayed diagnosis of cancer, orthopaedic and vascular injury and GP failures in respect of diagnosis and/or treatment.

Career

Educated at Wycombe Abbey School, Trinity College Cambridge and the University of Virginia School of Law (LLM). Called 1990. Inns of Court Studentship (1989, Lincoln’s Inn Hardwick and Kennedy Scholarships (1990).

Languages

Basic French, even more basic Danish.
