Position

Alan is a Director working in the firm’s Commercial Real Estate department. He has a wealth of expertise in all aspects of commercial law although currently he specialises in commercial property both contentious and non-contentious and contractual advices. Alan has been practising law for over 25 years and is an articulate and approachable solicitor who has a creative attitude when it comes to solving client issues. He has advised a number of the largest construction companies in Northern Ireland on construction contract issues and is a good person to turn to for advice regarding the tender process and procurement matters.

Career

Alan qualified at John Johnson & Son, Belfast, where he worked from 1981-89. He also worked at J C Taylor & Co, Belfast (1989-2000) and McGrigors, Belfast.

Alan joined Cleaver Fulton Rankin as a Director in 2012.

Memberships

Alan is a member of Law Society of Northern Ireland and a co-opted member of the Library and Information Management Committee of the Law Society of Northern Ireland.

Education

Alan graduated from Queens College, Oxford with a BA Hons in Jurisprudence and obtained a Certificate in Professional Legal Studies from Queens University Belfast. Alan was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Northern Ireland in 1981.
