The team is also noted for its experience in debt transactions, derivatives, structured finance, and regulatory work. The practice is jointly led by infrastructure project finance expert Felipe Rencoret Portales, and Nicholas Mocarquer, who is notably active in the mining sector. Fellow partner Sergio Orrego also has longstanding banking and finance experience, while former senior associate Rafael Rencoret was raised to the partnership in January 2023.

Gonzalo Rencoret provides day-to-day assistance to large companies; Nicholas Mocarquer has extensive experience in M&A deals and public tender offers; the broad practice of the ‘outstandingSergio Orrego incorporates shareholder agreements and joint ventures; and Felipe Rencoret is similarly experienced in heavyweight transactions. It also assists with related tax, labour and environmental law issues, as well as obtaining permits and authorisations. In terms of sector expertise, the department covers power generation, NCRE, mining, infrastructure, and real estate. Sergio Orrego, whose track record incorporates industrial, infrastructure, mining and energy projects; and fellow projects partner Gonzalo Errázuriz, are the principal practitioners. The group also assists with the financing of projects, obtaining administrative permits, and real estate property sales, with clients additionally look to the team for both day-to-day advice and the management of real estate projects. The practice is co-led by experienced partners Gonzalo Errázuriz, who maintains a broad real estate practice; and Felipe Rencoret, who combines his real estate experience with banking and finance and project finance specialisms.
