Paweł Lipski is an attorney at law on the Intellectual Property team and the Privacy, Information and Communication Technologies team at Wierzbowski Eversheds. He specializes in intellectual property, e-commerce, IT and unfair competition law.

He advises on issues of licensing and rules of operation of online services. He represents clients in civil and criminal cases concerning intellectual property infringement, unfair competition, and liability of providers of information society services.

Paweł’s recent experience includes advising one of the leaders of the internet advertising market on compliance issues involving the rules for use of mobile applications, and advising an international wholesale network on establishment of an online shop and negotiation of agreements with content providers. He has also advised producers of electronic equipment on compatibility of new functionalities, reprographic fees, and IP infringement, as well as advising a major insurer in negotiation of contracts with providers of IT solutions. He has represented a leading provider of hosting services in litigation concerning liability for third-party content, a manufacturer of agricultural machinery on issues of violation of Community trademarks, and an organizer of a consumer contest in an unfair competition dispute.

Paweł is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw and a member of the Warsaw Regional Chamber of Legal Advisers. He completed postgraduate studies in copyright law with distinction at King’s College London and the British Law Centre operated by the universities of Warsaw and Cambridge. He also completed the program of the American Law Center of the University of Warsaw and the University of Florida Levin College of Law. He has served several times as a judge in the Polish edition of the Jessup Moot Court competition and regularly appears at seminars organized by Aula Polska. He is the author of numerous articles in trade publications on legal aspects of high tech.

Paweł doradzał także producentom sprzętu elektronicznego w zakresie zgodności nowych funkcjonalności, opłat reprograficznych oraz naruszeń własności intelektualnej, a także dużemu podmiotowi z branży ubezpieczeniowej podczas negocjacji umów z dostawcami rozwiązań IT. Reprezentował również wiodącego dostawcę usług hostingowych w sporach sądowych dotyczących odpowiedzialności za cudze treści, producenta maszyn rolniczych w kwestiach naruszenia wspólnotowego znaku towarowego, a także organizatora konkursu konsumenckiego w sporze dotyczącym nieuczciwej konkurencji.

Jest absolwentem Wydziału Prawa i Administracji Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego oraz członkiem OIRP w Warszawie. Z wyróżnieniem ukończył studia podyplomowe w zakresie prawa autorskiego na King’s College London oraz Szkołę Prawa Angielskiego i Europejskiego prowadzoną przez Uniwersytet Warszawski i Uniwersytet Cambridge. Ukończył także program Centrum Prawa Amerykańskiego, prowadzony przez Uniwersytet Warszawski i University of Florida Levin College of Law. Wielokrotny sędzia polskiej edycji konkursu Jessup, regularnie występuje podczas seminariów organizowanych przez Aula Polska.
