Career

Raulin is a partner in the Corporate team and is also the Practice Partner of Ogier’s Jersey office. Raulin is involved in a wide range of local and international corporate M&A, capital markets transactions including several high profile IPOs, joint ventures, restructuring transactions as well as advising on private equity and other related matters. He has a particular interest in the real estate and natural resources sectors although his clients range from banks, airlines, mining companies and infrastructure funds right through to local trust companies and utilities in Jersey. He is also a member of the banking team undertaking predominantly borrower side work for corporate clients.

Raulin is involved in a wide range of local and international corporate M&A, capital markets transactions including several high profile IPOs, joint ventures, restructuring transactions as well as advising on private equity and other related matters. He is a director of Ogier Corporate Finance Limited, which acts as sponsor to issuers listing securities on The International Stock Exchange (formerly the Channel Islands Securities Exchange), and has significant experience in listing securities both on The International Stock Exchange and the Cayman Stock Exchange.

Raulin is an English Solicitor, Advocate of the Royal Court of Jersey and Notary Public. A member of the Jersey Law Society, he joined Ogier in 2000 and became a partner in 2007. He gained his LLB Hons from the University of Birmingham, England in 1996.

The capital markets team at Ogier assists clients with both debt and equity transactions, supporting companies in the crown dependencies with IPOs on a variety of stock exchanges. Cash box structures are a further area of expertise, with the practice advising on related placings and rights issues by listed companies. High yield and leveraged finance specialist Bruce MacNeil leads the group alongside Raulin Amy, who predominantly advises clients from the real estate and natural resources sectors on IPOs and restructuring matters. Alexander Curry is noted for his equity capital markets work.

Ogier‘s corporate practice supports clients with matters ranging from cross-border private M&A, downstream private equity transactions and cashboxes, to restructurings and regulatory work. Practice head Matthew Shaxson specialises in financial services M&A, with further expertise in regulatory matters including AML and competition issues. Raulin Amy handles both cross-border and Jersey-based M&A, in addition to joint ventures and restructuring measures, while Simon Dinning advises on transactions that involve Jersey and the BVI.
