Career

Chris is a construction law partner with over 30 years' experience, the last 17 of which have been exclusively in the construction dispute field. Chris specialises in construction dispute management, providing advice and appearing as counsel in mediations, adjudications, arbitrations and court cases involving building and construction related disputes. Chris is familiar with all New Zealand and international standard form building and construction contracts and has acted for employers, consultants, head contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and insurers on all manner of building and construction disputes. These include tendering disputes, disputes over payment, claims for variations and time extensions, prolongation and disruption claims, breaches of contract, termination disputes and professional negligence claims.
