Career

Katrina is a leading construction and dispute resolution lawyer and co-leads our Major Projects and Construction team in Auckland.

Katrina is a projects specialist and advises clients on all legal matters during the life cycle of a project’s delivery, from procurement and contract negotiations, to improving the commercial performance of a project and resolving complex disputes. Katrina also advises clients on other commercial disputes.

Katrina re-joined Dentons in July 2019 after spending a number of years in as a senior member of the in-house legal team at Fletcher Building, one of New Zealand’s largest construction companies. This real world experience, particularly during a challenging period in the vertical construction sector, means that Katrina brings a unique perspective to delivering external legal services. Katrina’s practical and commercial approach delivers excellent outcomes and is highly sought-after by the firm’s clients.

Katrina is a well-regarded industry leader. She sits on the Board of Infrastructure New Zealand, New Zealand’s leading infrastructure member association and is a member of the Accord Steering Group, the governing body for the Construction Sector Accord (a partnership between the New Zealand Government and the construction industry, formed to transform the construction sector).
