Career

Amir regularly advises clients on corporate and financial law matters as transaction lead.  He is experienced in structuring and negotiating cross-border acquisitions, devising novel financing arrangements, structuring funds and complex corporate restructuring . Amir has particular familiarity with the e-commerce, fintech, food & beverage, automotive, railway, mining and power (conventional and renewable) industries.

Prior to joining the firm, Amir was an internal legal counsel at Export Development Canada, Canada’s export credit agency. There, he prepared and negotiated financing documents for multi-jurisdictional financings, including export-related loans, corporate- and asset-backed lending facilities, quasi-sovereign loans  and acquisition financings. He also prepared and negotiated credit insurance and guarantee arrangements including political risk insurance policies, performance guarantees, financial guarantees and reinsurance policies.
